COVID-19 Update

At AB First Aid, we are committed to ensuring the health and safety of all our employees and students.

We are monitoring the impact of COVID-19 daily and are following the guidance of the World Health Organisation, Australian Government Department of Health and Australia’s Chief Medical Officer. We remain open with classes running daily, and are currently taking the following measures to ensure safety:

  • All Training facilities are equipped with ample hand sanitiser, antibacterial hand wash, alcohol wipes, plastic gloves and sanitising surface sprays. Students are encouraged and expected to take full use of these resources.
  • All highly touched areas such as door handles, benches and tables are disinfected and cleaned on a daily basis. All training equipment such as mannequins, spacers and epipens are disinfected and cleaned on a daily basis.
  • Students that show signs of cold/flu like symptoms, are advised not to enter class. We are also informing students ahead of time to stay home if they are experiencing any of these symptoms.
  • Class is designed to have as much distance as possible between students. However due to the nature of first aid training, competency training and compliance, it is impossible to ensure no contact between students as courses are practical based and students need to be assessed for scenarios that simulate the real workplace. Nonetheless, all practical assessment scenarios have been altered to minimise contact between students. For students who are uncomfortable with doing mouth to mouth rescue breaths during CPR, Bag-Valve Masks are available to be used.

We’re dedicated to helping our employees and students. For any concerns or enquiries, please email us at info@abfirstaid.com.au
