endurance training

Why it is imporant?

Endurance training is one of the four types of exercise along with strength, balance and flexibility. Ideally, all four types of exercise would be included in a healthy workout routine.

This can be further broken down into muscular endurance and cardiovascular endurance. Muscular endurance is the ability to repeat a series of muscle contractions without fatiguing. Cardiovascular endurance is the ability of the heart and blood vessels to pump oxygen around the body.

Muscular endurance is important as it gives your muscles the capabilities to complete your daily activities.

Cardiovascular Endurance  keeps your heart, lungs and circulatory system healthy and improves your overall fitness. As a result, people who get the recommended regular physical activity can reduce the risk of many diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and stroke.
