Inbody Scan Importance

inbody scan

InBody Scan is a comprehensive test that measures your fat, muscle, and water levels in less than a minute and is 98% accurate!! No dunking. No pinching. No discomfort. Each InBody Test will print out a full-page results sheet detailing the muscle, fat, and water values of the user.

How does an InBody scan work?

InBody devices use direct segmental measurement bioelectrical impedance analysis (DSM-BIA) to precisely measure body composition by sending multiple electrical currents through the body, resulting in up to six different impedance readings for the trunk and each of the four limbs.

WHY INBODY SCAN is IMPORTANT?

The InBody test and body composition testing can be an invaluable tool for your health. Assessing your body composition can not only help you reduce your risk for disease but allows you to understand more about your body then just the number on the scale.

You’ll learn about your unique makeup, find out if there are imbalances, and be able to track your progress with follow-up testing. InBody Scale measurements can help you determine the following: If you’re drinking enough water or if you’re dehydrated. How healthy your cells are.
TOP 4 BENEFITS OF GETTING A REGULAR INBODY SCANNING
Know your Body Composition

With respect to health and fitness, body composition is used to describe the percentages of fat, bone and muscle in human bodies. The body fat percentage is of most interest because it can be very helpful in assessing health.

Track your progress

Have you ever been trying to lose weight and it seems like that number on the scale will just not move, not matter how hard you work? So many of my patients get frustrated and even give up when they feel like they are not making progress.

As we have determined the number on the scale is not a very useful measurement tool. So why would you use this to track your progress? By using body fat percentages and muscle mass as a measurement of success instead, you will be able to see your muscle mass rise even if your weight is not moving.

Have more Targeted Workouts

It can tell you if you need to work on your skeletal muscle mass in your legs versus your arms, or if your left arm has a little less muscle mass compared to your right arm. Change your work out routines and then track your changes through InBody.

Help reduce your risk for Cardiovascular Disease

Cardiovascular disease is a collective term for disorders of the heart and blood vessels that increase your likelihood of developing things like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, dementia, stroke and diabetes. One of the most important identifiable risk factors for cardiovascular disease is your body composition and more specifically your visceral fat. Visceral fat is the body fat that is stored within the abdominal cavity.

FACT: The InBody Scale has been found to be 98% as accurate as a DEXA (Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry) scan. One major benefit of the InBody Scale over a DEXA scan is that patients do not need to be subjected to any radiation.
