Life! Flex

Welcome to Life! flex – the program designed to help you make positive lifestyle changes at your own pace. Whether you’re looking to eat healthier, increase physical activity, or reduce stress, Life! flex can help you achieve your goals and make lasting changes. 

Life! flex is funded by the Victorian government and managed by Diabetes Victoria. 

How does it work?

Life! flex is a free 20-week program that provides you with the tools and resources to support your health journey. Once you sign up, you’ll have access to:

  • Health-coaching sessions: With 2-3 sessions with a qualified health coach, you’ll receive personalised advice and support to stay motivated and achieve your goals. You will be able to choose between online, telephone and in some locations face-to-face sessions.  
  • Life! Online: Our online platform is packed with tools and resources to support you every step of the way. You’ll also receive regular text messages and be part of an online community for extra support and encouragement. 
  • Ask a health professional: In our Q&A webinars, you can ask questions about healthy eating and exercise. This will help you learn more about how to be healthy and feel good. 

Who is it for? 

This program is for people who want to eat healthier or increase their physical activity and look for support to achieve their goals. It’s tailored to individuals at moderate risk of developing type 2 diabetes, heart disease and stroke. If you’re not eligible for the group course and Telephone Health Coaching program, Life! flex may be a great option for you. Take the health check to find out if you are eligible

What is the difference between Life! flex and the Life! group course or Telephone Health Coaching? 

Life! flex is a self-directed program that provides personalised coaching and guidance. An important distinction from other program types is that a significant part of the support is delivered online, through motivational text messages, Life! Online, and Q&A webinars. Life! flex offers fewer health coaching sessions and is a shorter program, making it a better fit for individuals at moderate risk of developing type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. In contrast, other program types may be more appropriate for those at high risk.
